WHY DEO MINISTRY EXISTS

I Saw a Gap Nobody Was Filling

Australian churches are full of gifted, faithful people doing genuinely important work. Pastors who pray, prepare, and pour themselves out every single week for their congregations and communities.

But I kept noticing the same thing everywhere I looked. Churches with powerful messages that nobody outside their walls could find. Websites with out of date software. Sermons that were preached once and never heard again. And a $10,000 USD per month Google advertising grant that almost no Australian church knew existed — sitting completely unclaimed.

Meanwhile the digital agencies who could help didn't understand the church. They didn't know the difference between a Gospel outreach community and a Bible study group. They couldn't theologically vet a sermon clip. They didn't understand why the words you use matter as much as the strategy behind them.

So I decided to build something different. A service that combines genuine theological understanding with proven business strategy — so Australian churches can finally have a digital presence that reflects the quality of their mission.

Once I saw the success of my system for my church, I realised that the methods I used could help other churches who wanted to see growth and engagement. So I made it my mission to help as many churches as possible increase their digital engagement and outreach in order to increase church attendance.

DEO Ministry exists because the Gospel deserves to be heard — and we have the skills to use the right tools to help make that happen.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE STRATEGY

A Life Spent at the Intersection of Faith and Results

I grew up in a Christian home — my dad was a pastor, I went to a Christian school, and church was never just a Sunday obligation. It was life. I went on to study theology at Christ College and SMBC, completing both a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Theology, completing subjects at Moore Theological College as part of this.

I spent over a decade as a teacher, Head of Biblical Studies, Deputy Principal and school chaplain in Sydney.

Then came business. I built my own successful education business. Then helped scale a company to over $1,000,000 in annual turnover. Along the way I learnt how to grow a podcast into the charts with over 4M plays.

Today I serve as an Elder at Soma Blue Mountains, am a committee member for the church, and still deeply invested in the Gospel mission.

That combination — theology, teaching, business, and genuine church leadership — is what DEO Ministry is built on.

BEYOND THE BUSINESS

The Person Behind DEO Ministry

I've been married to my high school sweetheart since 2002. We have two kids — a son who is 13 and a daughter who is 9.

I live in the Blue Mountains and love it. When I'm not working you'll find me on a bush walk, swinging kettlebells, or having coffee on the front deck. I did my first degree in Exercise and Sports Science and I still believe deeply that looking after your body is part of looking after everything else God has given you.

Faith isn't just my profession — it's my life. I was baptised young, but it was during my first year at Bible college on a short term mission trip that I truly understood what it means to follow Jesus. That moment changed everything. It's the reason DEO Ministry exists.

I'm not just building a business. I'm trying to play my small part in the Great Commission.
